We’re excited to feature this month’s spotlight, Beth because we know you will be inspired by her story. She’s a long time member of No Limits Fitness and has been with us since 2016! Beth has been working hard, hitting gains and seeing great results – mentally, emotionally and physically.
She recently was struggling with her 205lb deadlift, but she wouldn’t give up.
And her persistence, and resiliency paid off and she conquered that hefty deadlift!
She has some sound, wise words for all of us.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: Wish I could be more poetic, but what works for me is “Suck it up Buttercup!”
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: In 2021, I will tweak my eating habits for the better, and drop two sizes from where I am currently.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: Life is short! There is a saying “Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” This is how I feel about No Limits Fitness. I love the boot camps, small groups, trainers, and the people. Working out at No Limits Fitness makes me happy! This keeps me motivated. Changes will follow.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: I was a teacher at a Christian school down the road from NLF. I honestly don’t remember who told me about NLF, but it was on the way to work. The early morning classes fit my schedule, and I was able to still get to work on time. Convenience began my journey, but the people keep me going.
Q: How has No Limits Fitness made a difference in your life?
A: I have met some amazing people at NLF who have since become life-time friends. The small groups make me realize I am stronger than I thought I ever could be – and I don’t just mean that in a physical sense.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: One of my greatest milestones was realizing and accepting the mindset that a number on a scale is just a number. I’m no longer tied to “weight” as a measure of success. Although, I am not the size I want to be, I am happy with gains in endurance and strength. The rest will follow.
Q. What made you decide to join No Limits Fitness?
A: It was a feeling. I was no stranger to gym hopping, constantly jumping into the latest and greatest place of fitness. When I first walked into No Limits Fitness, without even taking a class, I knew this was the place. Truly, there was a feeling that this is where I would be accepted as I was and encouraged to be the best I could be. That still holds to this day.
Q. What was the obstacle that almost prevented you from joining?
A: There was never any waffling in my decision to join No Limits Fitness. I just knew.
Q. What has exceeded your expectations since joining?
A: Support – not just from the trainers, but from everyone attending the class.
Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
A: Quit over thinking it! If nothing changes, nothing changes!
Q. What is your “word” for this year?
A: I have two – the first is for my fitness goals: “CONSISTENCY”. The second, which came to me after the loss of a dear friend, is “KINDNESS”. Neither word is easy to live, but both have the potential to bring great change.
